This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Drive the development of new equipment finance business with middle-market, large corporate, private equity-sponsored, and various commercial clients.
• Cultivate and oversee an active sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, referrals, established industry connections, and business-development initiatives.
• Forge relationships with CFOs, treasurers, controllers, procurement leaders, operating executives, private equity sponsors, and other key decision-makers.
• Identify needs for capital expenditures, technology investments, facility expansions, automation projects, and equipment replacements.
• Structure equipment loans, leases, and tailored financing solutions.
• Prepare and deliver financing proposals that outline structure, pricing, and value for clients.
• Collaborate with credit, operations, documentation, asset management, and senior leadership from opportunity identification through to funding.
• Collect financial, operational, and transaction data for credit presentations.
• Maintain ownership of client relationships and communicate with stakeholders throughout all transactions.
• Broaden existing relationships across various equipment categories, locations, business units, and financing needs.
• Keep track of pipeline reporting, production forecasts, calling activities, and account development plans.
• Represent the organization at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and business-development initiatives.
• Proven experience in originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users.
• Minimum of five years of experience in originating equipment finance transactions with commercial end users.
• Capability to independently generate new business and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Established relationships with middle-market companies, larger corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, or senior financial decision-makers.
• Demonstrated history of producing significant annual equipment finance volume.
• Personally originated and funded at least $20 million in equipment finance volume in any one of the previous three years.
• Comprehensive understanding of equipment loans, finance leases, tax leases, and other commercial financing structures.
• Proficiency in evaluating financial statements and grasping cash flow, leverage, liquidity, collateral, and the business rationale behind transactions.
• Experience in structuring and presenting transactions to credit and senior management.
• Ability to sell consultatively and convey value beyond mere pricing.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, judgment, and follow-through.
• Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and growth-focused environment.
