This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and implement Powerfleet’s strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Data & AI engineering in alignment with business and product goals.
• Create scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures for enterprise data, AI/ML, GenAI, and AI-driven applications.
• Develop a robust data foundation that supports analytics, machine learning, real-time intelligence, and AI applications.
• Encourage the use of common platforms, reusable services, APIs, and engineering practices while fostering innovation.
• Provide guidance to executive leadership on emerging AI capabilities, potential opportunities, risks, and technology investments.
• Oversee the development and implementation of AI/ML, GenAI, AI agents, intelligent automation, and associated technologies.
• Create frameworks and platforms to transition AI solutions from experimentation to production.
• Enhance MLOps/LLMOps, model evaluation, observability, governance, and capabilities to ensure reliable AI at scale.
• Build and lead a high-performing global Data & AI engineering team across various disciplines and regions.
• Collaborate with Security, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Set metrics for platform adoption, engineering productivity, reliability, cost efficiency, and AI impact.
• Manage technology investments, strategic vendor relationships, and make build-versus-buy decisions within the Data & AI domain.
• Communicate strategy, progress, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Over 15 years of experience in technology or engineering, with substantial experience in data, software, cloud, platform, or AI engineering.
• More than 7 years of leadership experience in building and directing engineering teams, ideally in global or distributed settings.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise data and AI platforms, architectures, and engineering strategies.
• Strong understanding of contemporary data platforms, cloud technologies, data engineering, distributed systems, AI/ML, and software engineering.
• Familiarity with current GenAI patterns such as LLMs, RAG, agents, orchestration, evaluation, and AI observability.
• Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
