This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
β’ Develop, construct, and manage agent systems comprehensively from design to production for identity, fraud, risk, and commerce workflows.
β’ Take ownership of evaluation harnesses and ensure observability for deployed systems.
β’ Create dependable, manageable, multi-step agent workflows incorporating tool usage and human-in-the-loop methodologies.
β’ Diagnose non-deterministic failures across models, tools, orchestration, and infrastructure.
β’ Operate within a compliance-intensive, globally regulated environment with a focus on auditability, accuracy, and human supervision.
β’ Establish and convey technical vision to colleagues and directed agents.
β’ Utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and pinpoint opportunities for continuous improvement.
β’ Coordinate AI agents in daily engineering tasks, verify outcomes, and uphold accountability.
β’ Report directly to the Director of Software Engineering.
β’ Over 8 years of software engineering experience with a proven impact on production systems.
β’ Proficiency in integrating AI agents within your engineering workflow.
β’ Capability to manage features from start to finish and articulate trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Experience tackling complex, innovative, or ambiguous projects where you defined the core problem.
β’ Practical experience in building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, tool utilization, and familiarity with at least one agent framework like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
β’ Background in evaluation frameworks for agent behavior.
β’ Preferred: experience in financial services, identity, fraud, risk, or other compliance-focused sectors.
β’ Preferred: knowledge of multi-agent orchestration patterns and production-grade evaluation harnesses.
β’ Preferred: experience with AI observability tools and MLOps practices.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with vector databases, knowledge graphs, or structured retrieval for agent memory.
