AI Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Agentic AI applications, encompassing multi-agent workflows and orchestration.

• Engage in hands-on technical collaboration, conduct code reviews, provide support, and mentor AI Engineers and contractors.

• Architect and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search mechanisms, embedding-based retrieval, and LLM integration patterns for production use cases.

• Design and construct MCP Server integrations and frameworks for tool usage.

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and Data Strategy, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, to convert AI strategy and roadmap into actionable technical execution plans.

• Select and integrate AI frameworks and platforms to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure deployed solutions.

• Establish and uphold engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, and responsible AI guardrails.

• Monitor emerging trends, tools, and techniques in AI engineering and evaluate their relevance.

• Assist with internal and external audits, including completing assigned compliance tasks and maintaining evidence for internal controls.

• Support safety and security policies while participating in continuous improvement and training initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or numerical discipline (Required).

• Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing software applications and/or data engineering pipelines.

• At least 3 years of experience leading or providing technical direction to engineers on application or AI/ML delivery teams.

• Required experience includes LangGraph, LangChain, RAG chatbots, vector databases, NLP-based automation, MCP Server development, embedding-based search, and LLM integration.

• Demonstrated experience in microservices architecture, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and/or Azure, Spring Boot, Node.js, CI/CD, and DevOps automation is required.

• Preferred experience includes Trino, Superset, Starburst SQL Server, ETL tools, S3, Airflow, Iceberg, PySpark, or Hive.

• Experience in building financial services solutions within big data infrastructure is preferred.

• Strong hands-on expertise in machine learning frameworks, agentic AI architecture, and cloud computing platforms.

• Proven capability to lead technical delivery and mentor engineers in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; capable of translating business requirements into technical designs.

• Working knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, and regulatory considerations pertinent to AI systems.

• Preferred industry certifications include AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, NVIDIA AI/Deep Learning certification, or Databricks Machine Learning Associate.
