This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Direct the strategy, expansion, and operational efficiency of Travel Leaders’ Canadian affiliate network.
• Supervise member services, recruitment, partner relations, marketing, and public relations efforts.
• Hold complete P&L accountability for operations in Canada.
• Set annual recruitment objectives, accountability standards, incentive programs, and recruitment initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the member services team.
• Create and implement sales strategies aimed at driving acquisition, growth, and retention.
• Track monthly performance, trends, and KPIs while adjusting strategies accordingly.
• Manage contract renewals and align Affiliate requirements with organizational offerings.
• Organize and execute Affiliate Regionals and significant events in collaboration with the Events team.
• Assess market opportunities and negotiate agreements with Canadian preferred suppliers.
• Provide market insights to the executive team.
• Meet with Canadian suppliers to evaluate performance and suggest contract or goal modifications.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting of supplier results.
• Oversee the reporting and collection of supplier overrides.
• Submit supplier revenue forecasts to Finance and revise monthly projections as needed.
• Manage the partnership with the Canadian PR firm and address press inquiries as necessary.
• Develop an annual communication strategy and deliver market and product insights.
• Improve reporting, benchmarking, and analytics for informed decision-making.
• Ensure operational excellence in all member-facing sales functions.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales, account management, or business development.
• Experience in the travel industry or consortia is strongly preferred.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that promote growth, retention, and profitability.
• Strong financial insight, including experience with P&L management, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation, renewals, and management of long-term relationships.
• Highly analytical with experience in leveraging reporting, benchmarking, and data insights for decision-making.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Potential eligibility for an incentive, commission, bonus, or discretionary bonus program based on achieving company financial goals and individual performance.
• Approximately 25% travel opportunity/requirement.
