This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Establish and guide the overarching vision and long-term strategy for Advisor Marketing.
• Revitalize and modernize the advisor marketing service framework.
• Collaborate with the Advisor Marketing Product team to deliver exceptional experiences and capabilities.
• Streamline advisor access to marketing support and develop scalable, customer-centric solutions.
• Foster ongoing enhancements in efficiency, effectiveness, advisor satisfaction, and business results.
• Define the Advisor Marketing service model across various advisor segments within the enterprise.
• Act as the executive representative of the field within the Marketing department.
• Collaborate with Distribution and Field leadership to encourage the adoption of marketing programs, campaigns, tools, and capabilities.
• Oversee training, communications, and change management for advisor marketing.
• Manage the advertising compliance policy, including the policy guide and review process.
• Spearhead the modernization of advertising compliance review processes and governance.
• Advance compliance operations through process optimization, technology implementation, and collaboration with Legal and Risk.
• Provide strategic oversight for Multicultural Marketing, encompassing translation and culturally relevant content.
• Build and lead a high-performing leadership team.
• Forge partnerships across Distribution, Marketing, Technology, Legal, and executive leadership.
• Enhance organizational capabilities, talent development, and succession planning.
• Champion Thrivent’s purpose, values, engagement, inclusion, and operational excellence.
• Offer strategic influence and expert change management.
• Ensure clear communication aligned with priorities and accountability.
• Engage with executive leaders, the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or MBA in marketing is preferred.
• 15–20 years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, and/or communications, ideally within the financial services sector and/or agency environment.
• Proven ability to design, execute, and assess marketing strategies that drive organizational growth.
• Experience facilitating sales enablement through multiple distribution channels with a variety of products.
• Familiarity with operating in a highly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of the Compliance function.
• Ability to influence diverse groups of stakeholders and senior leaders, often without direct authority.
• Skilled in consensus-building and securing buy-in across large, matrixed organizations.
• Strong critical thinking, excellent judgment, and courageous leadership capabilities.
• Experience navigating complex and matrixed organizations.
• Capability to build teams and foster leadership followership.
• Awareness and comprehension of economic factors impacting corporate financial success.
• Highly creative with strategic thinking skills.
