This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +11 more states.
• Act as the recruitment partner for veterinarians and various veterinary positions within designated markets.
• Establish enduring relationships with both active and passive candidates while managing long-term talent pipelines.
• Travel to clinics and key markets to engage with candidates, gain insights into local talent, and expand referral networks.
• Spend time in clinics to grasp team culture, staffing requirements, and referral possibilities.
• Oversee the entire veterinarian hiring process, which includes sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, formulating offer strategies, closing, and maintaining candidate communication.
• Engage passive veterinarians through direct outreach, industry networking, job boards, and social media platforms.
• Organize on-site interviews and ensure that clinic leaders are adequately prepared.
• Maintain a consistent pool of veterinarians across varying experience levels.
• Foster relationships with veterinary schools, alumni networks, industry associations, and local veterinary communities.
• Plan and facilitate networking events and candidate dinners; participate in continuing education and conference events.
• Collaborate with Regional Directors of Operations, Medical Directors, Practice Managers, and medical leadership to anticipate needs and identify coverage gaps.
• Keep accurate records of candidates, conversations, feedback, pipeline health, engagement data, and market insights.
• Utilize recruitment data and market intelligence to enhance sourcing and conversion efforts.
• Develop and refine standardized veterinarian hiring playbooks across various markets.
• Work in partnership with other recruiters to fulfill hiring requirements.
• A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, specifically within veterinary roles (5+ years preferred).
• Demonstrated success in recruiting rare, passive clinical talent while keeping candidates engaged over extended timelines.
• Strong sourcing abilities, proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques.
• Solid grasp of medical terminology, whether related to animals or humans.
• Executive presence, sound judgment, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior clinicians and leadership effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relationship-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about traveling and building trust in person.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must have permanent residency in one of the following states: CT, FL, GA, IL, OH, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, TX, VA, or Washington, D.C.
• Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
