Vendor Performance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the complete vendor lifecycle, encompassing onboarding, compliance, performance management, and offboarding.

• Establish and nurture relationships with telecom subcontractors, construction vendors, and service providers.

• Develop, track, and report on vendor KPIs, SLAs, quality, safety, and responsiveness metrics.

• Conduct assessments of vendor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Construction, and Business Development teams to anticipate vendor capacity needs and optimize vendor distribution.

• Ensure that vendors adhere to contractual obligations, insurance, licensing, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain comprehensive vendor records, documentation, and performance data for effective reporting and decision-making.

• Create and uphold vendor rate cards based on geography, scope of work, and client specifications, while monitoring market pricing trends.

• Work alongside Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to address vendor-related challenges, mitigate risks, and enhance processes.

• Act as the main point of contact for vendor inquiries, escalations, and coordination of performance-related operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in vendor performance, vendor management, subcontractor management, or operations within the telecommunications or infrastructure sectors.

• A solid understanding of telecom construction environments (OSP, wireless, fiber, civil, engineering, or related areas).

• Experience in developing and monitoring vendor KPIs, SLAs, performance metrics, and compliance benchmarks.

• Demonstrated ability to assess vendor performance, foster continuous improvement, and manage multiple vendors across various regions and project types.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship management capabilities.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the capacity to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
