This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Deliver technical assistance to address network performance challenges and aid in outage resolution.
• Oversee smaller projects or segments of projects while providing precise status and progress updates.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to maintenance and repair processes to senior staff and management.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to develop job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation.
• Complete necessary training to stay updated on systems, products, and organizational standards.
• Uphold and enhance network performance and reliability.
• Provide support for radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by business management.
• Travel within the market as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent (Required).
• Preferred areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Field Operations and maintenance.
• 2-4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or other related fields.
• Basic operational knowledge of electronics and interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, generators, AC-DC power systems, battery systems, and AI.
• Practical understanding of Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations.
• Knowledge of wireless backhaul technologies and configurations, including microwave and fiber-based solutions.
• Proven experience with, or a willingness to learn about, RAN equipment and 5G NR standards.
• Familiarity with Nokia AirScale BTS equipment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Commitment to ongoing training, certifications, and hands-on development.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery protocols and contingency plans.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues spanning both hardware and software systems.
• Capacity to plan, coordinate, and execute field assignments effectively.
• Skill in providing hands-on technical assistance and field-level support.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity applications.
• Understanding of Internet Protocol and a willingness to utilize AI-driven tools.
• Flexibility in working hours, including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
• Capability to lift between 50-70 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company-assigned vehicle.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Travel within the market is necessary.
