This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and manage external coding vendor operations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, Service Level Agreements, quality performance, and precise ICD-10/HCC coding deliverables.
• Facilitate regular operational meetings with vendor leadership.
• Analyze performance discrepancies, process enhancements, and strategic objectives.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly service levels, audit tiers, and performance indicators.
• Align staffing models with projected volumes in collaboration with resource planning and vendor leadership.
• Maintain lists of active and inactive coding contractors.
• Oversee audit record queues for representative sampling.
• Manage user accounts in Workday, including onboarding new hires and offboarding departing users.
• Administer roles, environmental permissions, and feature access within the coding application.
• Issue and track activation and deactivation requests for coding contractors.
• Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve technical access or permission challenges.
• Ensure vendor compliance with contractual commitments, corporate policies, and PHI/HIPAA security standards.
• Monitor CVS compliance and training audit communications, following up with vendors as necessary.
• Conduct targeted quality assessments of health risk evaluations for clinical precision and ICD-10/HCC alignment.
• Identify operational risks and implement governance frameworks to address compliance or delivery deficiencies.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct ICD-10 coding experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in vendor management or operational supervisory positions.
• Certification as a Professional Vendor Manager (CPVM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
• An active coding credential (CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P, or CCA) is preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Risk Coder (CRC) is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Adjustment (HCC) protocols across Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA Exchange business lines.
• Experience in managing user permissions in Workday and enterprise application administration platforms.
• Anticipated commitment of 40 hours per week.
