This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Act as the main point of contact for designated corporate accounts and high-value end-user clients.
• Facilitate wider adoption of genomic products and solutions within assigned accounts to support business growth and financial goals.
• Provide customer support that emphasizes the implementation of genomic tools, operational efficiency, project execution, and prompt issue resolution.
• Cultivate an understanding of customer business models, operational requirements, and priorities.
• Oversee the generation, delivery, and explanation of genomic results.
• Ensure that genomic reports and results are precise, timely, and useful for decision-making.
• Maintain customer documentation and develop or monitor essential performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales to identify customer needs, coordinate account activities, and support implementation plans.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Support, IT, Lab Operations, Marketing, and other internal teams on account strategies and customer initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing internal processes, operational efficiencies, and customer experiences.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving customer service, workflow, reporting, and account support.
• Conduct research and assist with customer inquiries and escalated issues.
• Engage in customer service training, team meetings, planning activities, and departmental initiatives.
• Support marketing efforts for genomic products, including customer training materials, product literature, and communication tools.
• Collect customer feedback through surveys, direct conversations, and market research.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure accurate, timely, and customer-focused communications.
• Support the development of specialty and integrated protein accounts identified as Key Accounts for the organization.
• Travel to customer locations as necessary to establish protocols, support implementation, resolve issues, and strengthen relationships.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Biology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics, or a related life sciences field.
• Proven experience in customer service, account support, customer communications, training, or a related customer-facing role.
• Experience in creating customer-facing communications, training materials, reports, or related documentation.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze information from various sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in effectively communicating with customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and customer needs concurrently.
• Competence in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical information, professional journals, and related materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with CRM systems or other customer management applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or specialized coursework in animal science, genetics, animal production, agriculture, business, or a related field.
• Preferred experience in cattle genetics, animal genomics, beef, dairy, animal production, or a related agricultural sector.
• Preferred experience managing corporate, strategic, or high-value customer accounts.
• Preferred experience working with genomic data, testing programs, or genomic reporting.
• Preferred experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Preferred experience using Adobe Acrobat and browser-based business applications.
• Preferred experience collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, IT, or laboratory teams.
• Preferred experience in supporting the implementation of new products, programs, or customer processes.
• Preferred experience in developing dashboards, metrics, reports, or other tools to monitor customer or operational performance.
• Strong customer relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear, customer-friendly communication.
• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
