This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Oversee the complete vendor lifecycle at Veristat, from identifying vendors and supporting proposals to selection, qualification, negotiation, and executing contracts.
• Direct global strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, including those that support clinical trials for Veristat’s sponsors.
• Build and sustain relationships with contracted vendors.
• Act as a primary contact for any vendor performance issues and escalations.
• Create and uphold vendor performance metrics, including KPIs and scorecards.
• Track vendor performance and industry trends.
• Assess new and emerging vendors to ensure a robust, competitive, and high-performing vendor network.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, strategic sourcing, contracting, or supplier management.
• Experience in clinical research, CRO, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or life sciences is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in managing the vendor lifecycle from sourcing and proposal creation through contracting, relationship management, and ongoing performance oversight.
• Experience in developing and overseeing vendor KPIs, scorecards, governance programs, and performance improvement strategies is preferred.
• Strong expertise in vendor negotiation, qualification, sourcing, procurement, and contracting.
• Ability to assess vendor capabilities, pricing, performance, operational risks, and market alternatives.
• Demonstrated skills in project and program management, including risk assessment and contingency planning.
• Excellent matrix leadership, communication, negotiation, teamwork, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to influence without formal authority.
• Capability to foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
• Innovative and adaptable; willing to challenge the status quo, promote change, and support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant vendor/procurement systems.
• Knowledge of applicable local country regulations is essential.
