This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Act as a strategic business partner responsible for managing vendor relationships and overseeing financial performance for designated business units or delegated entities.
• Direct the development of the annual budget (AOP), forecasting, invoice and expenditure management, vendor performance evaluation, and RFP supervision.
• Prepare and oversee annual operating plans, monthly budgeting, and reforecasting cycles.
• Incorporate actual results into Cognos/Hyperion budgeting models while ensuring consistency with accounting practices and policies.
• Examine monthly variances, pinpoint key drivers, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
• Oversee SG&A budgets to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with financial objectives.
• Manage the validation of invoices, accruals, and the tracking of vendor payments.
• Assist in preparing financial summaries, trends, and recommendations for executive presentations.
• Conduct complex financial analyses to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee assigned vendor relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, performance monitoring, and financial accountability.
• Create and maintain vendor scorecards, SLA dashboards, and corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with Procurement on the development of RFPs, evaluation of bids, and selection of vendors.
• Facilitate vendor review meetings to assess operational performance, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment.
• Work in partnership with Medical Management, Provider Services, Finance, and Operations.
• Implement process enhancements to optimize vendor performance and reduce costs.
• Provide reporting on vendor and financial metrics to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and responses for executive management and board presentations.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Lead or contribute to special projects, RFPs, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities while adhering to policies and standards.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or FP&A supporting business operations is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or operations management is required.
• Experience in healthcare or managed care is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience presenting to executive leadership is preferred.
• Proven experience managing RFP or sourcing processes is preferred.
• A CPA is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
