VDC Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop models and/or drawing sets adhering to Interstates’ established standards.

• Collaborate with team members to understand best practices and integrate design decisions into deliverables.

• Produce deliverable sets based on guidance from colleagues.

• Research and utilize mentorship and available resources to enhance tool functionality knowledge.

• Continuously enhance methods and efficiency through teamwork.

• Alter models, data, or drawing sets following directions received.

• Engage in communication using virtual and in-person collaboration tools with both internal and external teams.

• Implement model and scope adjustments by modifying deliverables as necessary.

• Document and archive revisions in accordance with established procedures.

• Adhere to project workflows and agreed-upon standards to fulfill deliverable requirements and timelines.

• Conduct self-checks to identify and rectify significant errors and deviations from best practices.

• Assist in reviewing peers’ work for compliance with established standards.

• Independently execute advanced design tasks with guidance.

• Offer suggestions for continuous improvement regarding tools and processes.

• Collaborate directly with manufacturing and construction teams to ensure deliverable designs are constructible.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or an applicable associate degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical college is required.

• A combination of relevant education and practical experience will also be considered as a substitute for formal educational requirements.

• Foundational experience with virtual modeling software, construction documentation, or technical design applications that support virtual design and construction processes.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, not exceeding 15%.

• Capability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
