VDC Coordinator – Mission Critical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Execute VDC/BIM processes and protocols on various projects

• Modify design-intent models for construction management objectives, including adjustments and enhancements to Revit models

• Develop structural models in Revit to support VDC operations

• Produce models, renderings, and animations to showcase project strategies and highlight BIM capabilities during proposals

• Assist MEP Coordinators in organizing model data, setting up data transfer systems, adhering to coordination protocols, and documenting project coordination details

• Evaluate subcontractors’ fabrication and shop drawings, models, and associated materials, offering guidance to integrate their work into the collective project model

• Detect constructability issues and suggest solutions

• Aid in pinpointing design changes and coordination obstacles

• Implement BIM/VDC quality control measures and ensure compliance with designated VDC plans

• Provide support to project teams, preconstruction personnel, and non-VDC specialists regarding VDC/BIM applications

• Keep VDC-related project schedules updated and evaluate potential BIM-related scheduling challenges

• Examine subcontractor BIM coordination schedules to ensure alignment with the overall project timeline

• Assist with reality capture technologies and field measurements to create detailed models of existing conditions

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

• Experience in construction, architecture, or engineering fields

• Preference for familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Realworks, and BIM 360 Applications

• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, building codes, and other technical product and material specifications

• Competence in managing and understanding VDC contractual obligations and responsibilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of common building systems and associated methodologies

• Strong preference for expertise in construction coordination processes

• Self-driven and capable of collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
