Valuation Technical Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute all facets of valuation tasks, including schedule preparation, billing authority reports, and reconciliations.

• Conduct debt collection activities and supervise recovery processes.

• Oversee various housekeeping reports and initiatives for NNDR.

• Provide support and mentorship to colleagues in their professional growth.

• Conduct quality monitoring and training sessions.

• Revise documentation from multiple sources to ensure the accuracy of NNDR accounts.

• Address client requests promptly.

• Manage complaints and Freedom of Information requests.

• Assist in operational service delivery to clients.

• Navigate challenging situations to resolution and take full responsibility for outcomes.

• Deliver first-contact resolution for customer inquiries.

• Support a network of staff in responding to technical inquiries from ratepayers, agents, and solicitors.

• Update and manage Business Rates accounts across Northgate, Academy, Information@Work, and Civica systems.

• Adhere to corporate HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of business rates legislation and practices.

• Proven experience in executing valuation responsibilities.

• Familiarity with Academy, Northgate, Information@Work, and Civica systems is preferred.

• Minimum education level of GCSE or equivalent, with at least 5 grades A-C, including English and Maths.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service to a diverse range of customers from the initial point of contact.

• Experience in gathering, organizing, and managing information effectively.

• Proactive, customer-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to customer service.

• Background in a fast-paced office environment.
