VA Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Examine health insurance claims and invoices to ensure the resolution of claims.

• Follow up on claims that remain unresolved.

• Assist in the payment processing of claims for Veterans' Affairs and its associated entities.

• Complete an extensive initial training program and engage actively with the camera turned on.

• Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a busy inbound and outbound call setting.

• Utilize multiple computer screens and software applications concurrently.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Technical ability to operate across multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously.

• Capability to sustain strong performance in a dynamic environment with established productivity metrics.

• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A keen investigative mindset.

• Previous experience in a professional office setting.

• Basic understanding of insurance billing is advantageous, yet not mandatory.

• Experience with billing and appealing denied health claims is beneficial, though not required.

• A private, distraction-free home workspace.

• On-camera presence during work hours is necessary.

• Reliable internet connection is a must.

• Home internet speeds exceeding 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload are required.

• A workspace that can accommodate the provided workstation equipment.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
