UX Researcher – Voice and Video Contributor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Engage in compensated, recorded discussions with fellow research professionals.

• Deliberate on research decisions and evaluate methodologies.

• Articulate how research data is interpreted and how findings are communicated.

• Discuss research planning, participant recruitment, interview techniques, usability testing, and synthesis.

• Debate the most suitable research approach for a specific question, timeline, or product decision.

• Justify interpretations of hypothetical research findings while recognizing limitations and uncertainties.

• Question assumptions and explore alternative explanations.

• Address critiques from other researchers.

• Investigate the communication of findings in situations where stakeholders may disagree or when evidence is incomplete.

• Complete an initial screening and, if selected, participate in a paid recorded conversation with an equally experienced research professional.

• Discuss shared-expertise topics, engage in debates over research choices, and challenge interpretations.

• Contribute to discussions that aid in training and evaluating AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in UX research, user research, human factors, or a similar research role.

• Practical experience in designing and conducting studies as well as communicating results.

• Proficient spoken communication in the language used during the session.

• Ability to differentiate between observations and interpretations, supporting perspectives with evidence.

• Comfort in engaging in substantial, unscripted discussions that involve constructive disagreements.

• A quiet environment for discussions.

• Reliable internet connection.

• A clear microphone for audio clarity.

• Webcam for video participation.

• Willingness to appear on video with a visible face and no filters or background blur activated.

• Use of fictional or anonymized research examples.

• Professional acting experience is a plus but not mandatory.

• Applicants should provide details on their research background, methods, subject areas, availability, time zone, and spoken languages.
