This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Strategize and implement user experience research to gain insights into customer needs, assess experiences, and guide product decisions.
• Oversee research projects from the initial intake and planning stages to participant recruitment, execution, analysis, and the presentation of actionable insights.
• Perform rapid research, usability testing, early concept evaluations, customer journey investigations, and mixed-methods studies.
• Develop research strategies and timelines for product and feature domains.
• Identify research challenges, objectives, success metrics, and methodologies.
• Lead collaborative research initiatives and synchronize cross-functional research activities.
• Explore existing research and customer data.
• Investigate customer needs, behaviors, motivations, journeys, adoption, and retention rates.
• Create customer profiles and enhance audience comprehension.
• Formulate recruitment strategies, screeners, participant criteria, communications, and research tools.
• Recruit and manage research participants while assisting with large-scale research events.
• Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to uncover patterns, themes, and actionable insights.
• Distill findings into recommendations that impact product direction and experience design.
• Develop research presentations utilizing data, customer narratives, and supporting evidence.
• Generate insights into industry and vertical trends.
• Collaborate with product management, design, engineering, and other disciplines.
• Set UX goals, signals, metrics, and success criteria; educate and mentor cross-functional partners.
• Provide templates for research, question libraries, screeners, discussion guides, and additional resources.
• Implement privacy, accessibility, and security protocols throughout the research process.
• Eliminate personally identifiable information and apply sensitivity labels and access controls.
• Adhere to approved secure tools and procedures for gathering, storing, recording, and managing research data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or a related field, alongside 2+ years of User Experience Research experience; OR
• Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields or a related area, with 1+ year of User Experience Research experience; OR
• A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
• 4+ years of experience in conducting usability testing.
• 4+ years of experience in screening and recruiting research participants.
• 5+ years of experience in writing and reporting research insights.
• Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Experience in conducting research that shapes product direction and user experience design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for synthesizing research data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with product, design, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing research projects from planning to execution and delivery of findings.
• Proficiency in clearly communicating research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
