This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive user research initiatives that encompass digital commerce and enterprise portals, from initial scope definition to strategic actionable recommendations.
• Create and implement user interviews, usability assessments, concept testing, card sorting, and various other qualitative evaluation methods.
• Work in collaboration with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Insights, Marketing, and Commercial partners to determine research priorities.
• Integrate research findings into journey maps, entry point analyses, Jobs to Be Done, page-level objectives, and friction mapping.
• Assess user experiences utilizing qualitative insights, analytics data, experimental results, and heuristic standards.
• Communicate themes to leadership, linking customer motivations with business and product metrics.
• Enhance internal research operations through scalable frameworks, standardized templates, and streamlined workflows.
• Initially concentrate on the global DTC eCommerce experience, with opportunities to assist in Membership and Commercial/B2B experiences.
• 5+ years of focused user research experience, demonstrating a successful track record of guiding comprehensive studies that influence product strategy.
• Established background in evaluating digital commerce platforms as well as B2B, enterprise, SaaS, or intricate web applications.
• Exceptional proficiency in qualitative research—especially in-depth interviews, usability studies, core synthesis, and responsibly extracting key insights from small user groups.
• Effectively uses advanced AI tools for participant recruitment, session moderation, transcript analysis, research repositories, and knowledge sharing, while upholding stringent data privacy, ethical, and study integrity standards.
• Extensive expertise in customer journey mapping, Jobs to Be Done, defining page-level objectives, heuristic evaluations, and thorough experience audits.
• Capable of merging qualitative insights with quantitative metrics, telemetry, and experimental findings.
• Excellent workshop facilitation and communication skills with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with centralized research repositories, behavioral analytics platforms, experimentation tools, and scalable research operations.
• Proven success in establishing or enhancing a high-impact research function within fast-growing organizations or agile startup environments.
• Co-authored with Glean.
• Experience in researching health, wellness, digital health, healthcare, or wearable technology products (preferred).
• Background in working across international markets and diverse user demographics (preferred).
• Candidates must reside in the United States; residents of Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin will not be considered.
