This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica, +4 more countries.
• Independently define, plan, and execute mixed-method qualitative and quantitative research initiatives.
• Tackle ambiguous research inquiries and provide actionable, decision-ready insights.
• Organize and facilitate studies assessing AI assistants, automated workflows, and self-service user experiences.
• Identify barriers to adoption, trust concerns, and validation requirements prior to a full rollout.
• Sustain, enhance, and implement Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) frameworks within internal product projects.
• Revise research artifacts to ensure alignment between tool evaluations and the enterprise suite.
• Create recruitment screeners, testing plans, participant criteria, and protocol documents.
• Distill complex findings into presentations suitable for executives, research artifacts, and stakeholder summaries.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and Service Management teams to verify tooling decisions and improve workflows.
• Record and manage traceable research outcomes, decision logs, and insights within collaborative systems and research repositories.
• Partner through the launch, measurement, and post-implementation stages to assess long-term impacts.
• Over 5 years of practical UX Research experience at a senior Individual Contributor (IC) level.
• Demonstrated independence in scoping, conducting, and synthesizing research studies.
• Advanced proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Direct experience in researching enterprise internal tools, employee experience (EX), or intricate cross-functional operational workflows.
• Proven expertise in developing and utilizing Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) or similar strategic frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with research platforms for participant recruitment, moderated/unmoderated testing, surveys, and insight synthesis/repository tools.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management across Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in researching AI-driven products, virtual assistants, or automation, emphasizing user trust, validation behaviors, reliance, and readiness for rollout.
• Familiarity with employee experience platforms, IT Service Management (ITSM), self-service support, or enterprise collaboration tools.
• Proven history of scaling or evolving a JTBD framework across various product and service domains.
• Track record of delivering impactful research that influences enterprise tooling, AI adoption, or self-service efficiency.
• Experience collaborating with product teams throughout the launch, measurement, and post-implementation phases.
• Ability to work with teams aligned to Eastern Time (ET) and overlap with North American business hours.
• Proficiency in English for interviews, documentation, and daily communication.
