This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee user research initiatives involving Federal, regional, and contractor user groups.
• Design interview strategies and carry out user interviews along with usability testing.
• Develop user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and various design artifacts.
• Facilitate design handoff and work in collaboration with engineering and product teams during the implementation phase.
• Create accessible mobile and desktop workflows aligned with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
• Assess user experiences, particularly for those utilizing assistive technologies, as necessary.
• Act as the team's content strategist and writer.
• Create and maintain consistent content patterns throughout the TTA Hub.
• Review and authorize user guides, onboarding materials, and training documentation developed by the Training Specialist.
• Preserve UX research artifacts along with records related to product and UX strategy.
• Generate and sustain acceptance evidence for relevant sprints.
• Implement human-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and accessible content-design methodologies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide support for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families TTA Hub data platform.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience executing end-to-end UX solutions for production services.
• A portfolio showcasing user research, interaction design, and successful product launches.
• A Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related domain, or equivalent experience supported by a portfolio.
• Proven proficiency in human-centered design methodologies.
• Familiarity with information architecture and interaction design principles.
• Strong skills in user and usability research.
• Experience in creating accessible digital content and user experiences.
• Background in visual design and prototyping.
• Capability to translate user research and requirements into actionable design solutions.
• Proficiency in developing clear, consistent user-facing content and content standards.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Eligibility to acquire a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
• Preferred: Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
• Preferred: Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.
• Preferred: Experience in conducting or assisting with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) testing.
• Preferred: Expertise in designing intricate data-entry workflows and dashboards.
• Preferred: Experience in conducting user research with Federal stakeholders.
• Full-time schedule with core hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
