Utility Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Safely operate heavy machinery in line with project specifications and Ledcor safety protocols.

• Execute excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and earthmoving tasks.

• Operate excavators (25T, 35T, and 60T), D6 dozers, 16M graders, and 950/966 loaders.

• Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete daily equipment documentation.

• Collaborate closely with supervisors, survey teams, and fellow operators to meet production and quality goals.

• Maintain vigilance regarding construction hazards.

• Comply with all Ledcor and project safety regulations, procedures, and site standards.

• Assist in site development, mass excavation, grading, pad construction, and related earthworks activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience operating various types of heavy equipment in construction, mining, or earthworks settings.

• Demonstrated operating experience with excavators, dozers, graders, or loaders.

• Capability to read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and construction layouts.

• Preferred experience with GPS machine control systems, as well as traditional methods.

• Grade control experience on excavators, dozers, and graders is an asset.

• Strong dedication to safety and teamwork.

• Valid driver's license and a clean 3-year driving abstract.

• CSTS-2020 Fundamentals certification.

• Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification.

• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing successfully.
