US Payroll Tax Lead – Compliance, ADP WFN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee and guide junior payroll personnel

• Administer the complete payroll process for more than 15 states

• Act as the final escalation point for intricate tax and system-related matters

• Direct withholding, filing, and reconciliation for over 15 states, encompassing SUTA/FUTA, FICA, and local tax nexus

• Function as the subject matter authority for ADP Workforce Now, ensuring seamless system integration and data accuracy

• Oversee the registration of new state tax identification numbers

• Manage compliance with SUTA/FUTA/FICA across an expanding US presence

• Lead responses to both federal and state tax inquiries and garnishments

• Handle year-end W-2/W-3 reconciliations

• Provide the C-suite with reports related to audits, 401k, and emerging trends

• Transition payroll operations from manual to automated, scalable processes

• Undertake additional duties and projects as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in managing US payroll; multi-state experience is essential

• High level of proficiency in payroll systems like ADP WorkforceNow and Kronos/UKG

• Advanced skills in Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and Macros

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA or CPP certification is a considerable advantage

• Exceptional English communication skills

• Willingness to work from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM PHST to align with US Eastern/Central time zones

• Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, prior employment, and education verification
