U.S. Immigration Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare, organize, and file petitions, applications, and supporting documentation for U.S. immigration.

• Draft and review legal documents, declarations, affidavits, recommendation letters, and correspondence with clients.

• Engage with clients to collect information, request supporting documents, provide updates on cases, and address inquiries.

• Maintain well-organized and precise digital case files.

• Oversee and update legal case management and CRM systems, including PracticePanther, Lawmatics, Docketwise, Pipefile, and Monday.com.

• Monitor filing deadlines, track case progress, and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff on case preparation, workflow management, and strategy implementation.

• Leverage legal technology and AI tools to enhance productivity, organization, and workflow efficiency.

• Achieve performance targets related to quality, productivity, responsiveness, and client service.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of practical experience managing U.S. immigration cases is required.

• Proven experience in preparing and handling U.S. immigration petitions, applications, and associated documentation.

• Familiarity with legal case management and CRM software is essential, including Docketwise, PracticePanther, Lawmatics, Pipefile, or similar platforms.

• Strong skills in drafting, organization, and multitasking.

• Capability to handle multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to meet performance standards and productivity expectations in a dynamic legal environment.

• High proficiency in using AI tools to improve work product and efficiency is strongly preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A reliable home office setup, including high-speed internet and a backup power solution.

• Minimum of 6 hours overlap with the firm's operating hours in Pacific Time (PT).
