Licensing Paralegal – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to relevant legal standards, encompassing both federal and state regulations, as well as licensure, regulatory filings, and reporting obligations.

• Foster and sustain collaborative partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external resources.

• Strategically plan and implement activities for the Risk team concerning licensing and regulatory compliance initiatives, policies, procedures, and specified projects.

• Cultivate and uphold a comprehensive understanding of business-related compliance and regulatory issues.

• Support activities and processes that guarantee compliance with federal, state, local regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures.

• Lead or assist in enterprise-level projects such as data privacy and state licensure efforts.

• Maintain awareness of the organization's and subsidiaries' structure, lines of authority, and internal audit policies and practices.

• Oversee the updating of regulatory or license renewals, healthcare staffing agency licenses, state fees, data calls, surveys, state requests, and inquiries.

• Act as a representative for risk/compliance in special projects, meetings, and work products.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of research experience in analyzing, summarizing, and guiding the implementation of compliance-related regulations.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in reviewing, implementing, and/or providing regulatory, compliance, certification, or licensing compliance within a corporate or organizational framework.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong comfort level in facilitating discussions with organizational leaders.

• Advanced research and analytical abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office and communication tools such as state portals, software, and electronic communication methods.

• Flexibility and willingness to engage in a diverse range of matters, initiatives, and projects.

• Capacity to collaborate and establish partnerships across multiple business units within the organization.

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.

• Self-motivated and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Acceptable combination of education, training, and experience is required.
