
Senior Claims & Litigation Paralegal – Transportation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and assist with commercial-auto bodily injury, catastrophic-loss, property-damage, and transportation litigation/claims.
• Facilitate immediate evidence preservation after major accidents, which includes collecting driver qualification/personnel records, ELD/HOS data, telematics/GPS, ECM information, dashcam/video footage, maintenance/inspection records, dispatch communications, bills of lading, photographs, police reports, and witness details.
• Analyze accident reports, demand packages, medical records, and claim documentation while creating litigation timelines.
• Under the guidance of an attorney, draft initial versions of answers, responses, affidavits/declarations, notices, motions, and other legal documents related to litigation.
• Provide support for interrogatories, requests for production/admission, subpoenas, discovery, document collection, and legal holds.
• Develop exhibits, document and medical summaries, deposition/mediation materials, and trial binders.
• Maintain comprehensive litigation files and calendars, tracking deadlines for pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, motions, and trials.
• Keep concise case summaries that outline allegations, damages, exposure, defense strategy, deadlines, and next steps.
• Collaborate with external counsel, oversee case strategy/budgets/deadlines, and assist in reviewing invoices from outside counsel and litigation expenses.
• Work with Claims, Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Insurance/Risk Management, and other departments.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, claims, or as a senior paralegal.
• Strong preference for experience in trucking/transportation litigation, commercial-auto liability, catastrophic-loss, or insurance defense.
• Experience with a motor carrier, insurer, TPA, self-insured transportation company, or a transportation defense law firm is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of U.S. litigation and discovery processes.
• Proficient legal drafting skills.
• Effective docket/file management capabilities.
• Familiarity with trucking evidence and FMCSA-related documentation.
