Unit Manager, Care Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate the performance of care management personnel

• Ensure clinical precision of both web-based and non-web-based materials

• Track modifications to national care standards and incorporate them into the care management framework

• Create and execute departmental workflow procedures that enhance member outcomes and meet targeted objectives

• Offer insights on departmental operations and quality improvement initiatives

• Suggest actions for enhancement

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders

• Act as the intermediary between clients and the medical management division

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted license in the operational state as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Dietician (RD), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct clinical care to consumers

• At least 2 years of experience in case management

• Experience in project management

• Familiarity with disease management and the insurance sector

• Capability to research clinical subjects

• Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Willingness and flexibility to work varied schedules as required

• Case Management Certification (URAC accredited certification), or the ability to obtain it within three years of employment if overseeing case management operations

• Incumbents in nursing license positions requiring multi-state licensure must secure and uphold additional current, valid, unrestricted nursing licenses as directed by management

• Supervisory experience is preferred

• A bachelor's degree is preferred

• Experience with TX Medicaid is preferred
