This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding patient support programs, as well as access and reimbursement support tools and services.
• Inform providers about product-specific acquisition and access options, which includes specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Offer insights into resources available to tackle access-related issues.
• Serve as a local expert on national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding changes, and claims submission procedures.
• Collaborate with internal Oncology stakeholders on key account management initiatives.
• Report payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Operate in a field-based role within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
• Expect to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Strongly preferred experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology.
• Preferred background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models.
• Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
• Solid grasp of and ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D along with associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet all relevant healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire the necessary HCIR credentials.
• Exceptional territory and account management skills.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Preferred 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Extensive experience in educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related issues for specialty medications is preferred.
• Strong history of leadership in current role is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time is essential.
