📋 Description

• Oversee quality execution and ongoing enhancements within the Fossil Americas service value stream.

• Facilitate the quality operating rhythm through comprehensive reporting, trend analysis, and strategic action planning.

• Monitor customer experiences, nonconformances, costs related to poor quality, audits, and corrective measures.

• Lead the management of nonconformances, encompassing issue identification, containment, resolution, and closure.

• Direct and assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes utilizing 8D, A3, 5 Why, and other structured methodologies.

• Collaborate with operating leaders and cross-functional teams to pinpoint recurring challenges and implement effective long-term solutions.

• Employ lean principles along with quality planning and control techniques to eradicate waste and enhance process capability.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

• Track quality trends and risks within field service, repairs, parts, and operations, raising systemic issues when necessary.

• Ensure the efficient utilization of quality systems and tools, including the PowerNow Platform for NCRs and RCAs.

• Aid in audit readiness, compliance with procedures and standards, and the maintenance of process improvements.

• Mentor teams on quality fundamentals, problem-solving, and prevention-focused thinking.

• Assist the Quality Manager for the Industrial Segment as a member of the Business Operations One Team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

• Proven experience in quality within manufacturing, field service, operations, or continuous improvement in the power generation, energy, heavy industrial sectors, or a similar industry.

• Demonstrated expertise in leading nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes.

• Experience collaborating across functions in a matrixed environment.

• Strong dedication to safety, quality, and compliance.

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 10–30% of the time.

• Background in power generation equipment and services, including steam turbines, generators, and plant auxiliaries.

• Comprehensive understanding of quality systems, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, fishbone, FMEA, and CAPA.

• Experience managing complex projects and providing quality guidance across various functions.

• Familiarity with field service, repairs, outage execution, installation, welding, diagnostics, NDT, or similar service operations.

• Knowledge of relevant technical regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

• Strong analytical capabilities, including trend interpretation, identification of systemic issues, and translating data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Proven ability to lead through influence, establish credibility swiftly, and drive changes across multidisciplinary teams.

• Self-driven, organized, and focused on execution, with a strong commitment to follow-through.

• Canadian applicants must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Applicants for the U.S.-based position must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
