Unit Development Analyst I/II/III/IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee drilling units from the initial design phase through to production.

• Safeguard leasehold interests, reduce development risks, and ensure timely delivery of units.

• Verify the accuracy and compliance of unit boundaries, acreage, ownership, and well layouts.

• Evaluate lease terms for pooling limitations, expirations, consent prerequisites, and other development constraints.

• Assess proposed wells and units for land, title, ownership, and contractual matters.

• Compute, project, and authenticate working interest and net revenue interest.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address lease, title, ownership, and third-party interest challenges.

• Prepare, review, and maintain unit documentation.

• Ensure the accuracy of unit development information and documentation in company systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in the oil and gas sector.

• An associate’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to reconcile complex ownership and acreage data.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while managing competing priorities.

• Familiarity with oil and gas land, leasing, title, ownership, and unit development principles.

• Experience with land management, mapping, or data analysis systems.

• Remote work is not available in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless the candidate is willing to relocate.
