This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with IT and HIM/Coding management, application analysts, and departmental personnel to develop stable and secure integrated system solutions.
• Provide continuous maintenance and support for HIM systems.
• Assess and implement emerging and new technologies.
• Serve as a liaison between technical staff and the HIM department.
• Support Oracle/Cerner Health Information Management, Meditech Abstracting, 3M coding and reimbursement systems, Optum Integrity One, CDI, document type management, CAMM media storage, Nuance, related interfaces, and various other HIM applications.
• Identify and rectify errors.
• Execute software upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensure daily or periodic application tasks are carried out.
• Coordinate with user departments, vendors, programming or technical teams, consultants, physicians, and affiliated personnel.
• Offer expertise and support for ROI, coding, deficiency tracking, chart completion, MRN, and account merges.
• Contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
• Engage in and potentially lead projects for new applications and upgrades.
• Document, test, communicate, and resolve identified issues.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Certification in the Oracle/Cerner HIM module.
• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Information Systems supporting applications within a healthcare environment.
• Extensive experience in implementing, integrating, and supporting both in-house and ancillary applications.
• Strong project management and vendor management skills.
• Participation in and potential leadership of new and upgrade application projects.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
• The analyst is responsible for documenting, testing, communicating, and resolving identified issues.
• In-depth understanding of current application information technologies and trends in healthcare.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
