Senior System Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Analyze and design payment workflows along with Payment Gateway functionalities.

• Convert business requirements into precise technical solutions and specifications.

• Document domain entities, logical data models, use cases, web forms, API specifications, permissions, logs, business rules, edge cases, and other system behaviors.

• Assess payment provider and banking integrations.

• Investigate Level 3 issues and change requests to identify necessary system modifications.

• Address complex payment-domain challenges related to payment success rates, reliability, security, asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency, and data inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to create design mockups based on both business and system requirements.

• Engage in architecture and solution design discussions with architects, engineers, and QA teams.

• Suggest technically viable solutions, articulate trade-offs, and contribute to API and system design decisions.

• Partake in peer reviews of specifications.

• Revise and enhance documentation, specification templates, and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a System Analyst, ideally with practical experience in payment systems, payment gateways, fintech, or banking.

• Demonstrated experience in designing APIs, logical data models, and integrations using various patterns.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Strong modeling skills in BPMN and UML, including Sequence, State Machine, Use Case, and Class diagrams.

• Proficiency in Postman, browser DevTools, and JSON editors.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, remain effective when priorities shift, and proactively flag risks.

• Proficient in English at a B1+ level for documentation purposes.

• Fluent in Russian for team communication.

• Knowledgeable about payment security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, KYC, AML, and GDPR.

• Understanding of end-to-end payment processes, including authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks, 3DS, withdrawals, and reconciliation.

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
