This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee collective bargaining agreements, wage scales, and fringe benefits within ERP and payroll systems.

• Assist various business units by managing rate configuration, conducting compliance audits, and maintaining cross-system data.

• Collaborate with unions, business leaders, HR Operations, IT, payroll, and operations to address pay-related issues and interpret CBAs.

• Convert CBAs and local union regulations into ERP and payroll rate tables, pay classes, project cost codes, deduction codes, and benefit formulas.

• Revise wage increases, shift differentials, and fringe benefit formulas prior to their effective dates.

• Implement retroactive pay increases with payroll as required.

• Conduct audits of payroll and ERP data to ensure compliance with negotiated agreements, reciprocity requirements, and benefit contribution rules.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in union pay, deduction issues, and questions regarding contract interpretations.

• Coordinate the implementation of contract updates across payroll, HR, ERP, and related systems.

• Test and verify wage, deduction, and benefit system changes alongside IT, Payroll, and HROps.

• Assist with payroll enhancements, process improvements, and initiatives related to union compliance.

• Lead union audits across payroll, finance, and various business units.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of contract provisions, system configurations, wage schedules, procedures, and audit evidence.

• Inform stakeholders about upcoming changes in wages and fringe benefits.

• Offer subject matter expertise, training, and knowledge transfer regarding union contract administration and payroll processing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in payroll, union administration, human resources, or a related field is required.

• FPC or CPP certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in union payroll, including management of union rates, ideally in the construction industry.

• Proven experience in administering multiple local union agreements and associated payroll requirements.

• Extensive knowledge of multi-local union regulations, reciprocity agreements, and deduction structures for dues, pensions, and health funds.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to interpret complex contractual language and translate it into system configurations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to payroll accuracy and compliance.

• Ability to standardize processes and promote continuous improvement.
