Underwriting Trainer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage specialized training programs focused on life, annuity, and health underwriting.

• Address analysis methodologies, risk evaluation, modeling, as well as tools and technologies utilized to accurately interpret and apply criteria for risk assessments.

• Establish career development and engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience.

• Utilize best practices in curriculum design and presentation for department personnel and stakeholders.

• Create clear and measurable learning objectives for varying levels of underwriting knowledge and technical skill.

• Stay updated on regulatory standards, product offerings, and advancements in technology.

• Share knowledge through both group and individual training sessions.

• Assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.

• Partner with management to improve the learning experience.

• Evaluate team requirements and develop opportunities for career growth and employee engagement.

• Engage in cross-departmental projects and programs that necessitate collaboration with Underwriting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of six years of underwriting experience within the insurance or financial services sector.

• Expertise in underwriting training or project/process management in a corporate setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to convey technical information effectively in a learning context.

• Strong skills in documentation and writing/editing.

• Innovative thinker and collaborator focused on designing engaging learning and development programs.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Bachelor's degree in business or finance is preferred.

• FLMI, FALU, or CLU certification is preferred.
