Underwriting Operations Technician – Inspection Department

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and address intricate inspection-related tasks and inquiries that the centralized processing team cannot handle.

• Serve as a subject matter authority on inspection processes and workflows.

• Diagnose processing challenges and provide guidance to the Inspection support team.

• Execute quality reviews and audits of the work performed by the centralized processing team.

• Recognize trends, errors, and training needs to enhance quality and efficiency.

• Support Underwriters, agents, inspection vendors, and carriers with complex or escalated inspection issues.

• Address inquiries that necessitate advanced knowledge of inspection processes, compliance, and workflows.

• Supervise inspection workflows to ensure adherence to company guidelines and service level expectations.

• Facilitate the implementation of new or revised processes and procedures.

• Aid in the onboarding and training of new team members.

• Collaborate with leadership to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or a similar role (commercial lines experience is preferred but not mandatory).

• Basic knowledge of inspection processes and workflows, or the capacity to learn quickly.

• Experience in supporting a processing support team or shared services team is advantageous but not essential.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and precision.

• Proficient communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OneNote.
