Underwriting Assistant – Property Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist E&S underwriting across a variety of business lines and coverages, primarily focusing on Property.

• Aid in underwriting activities related to Inland Marine, Builder's Risk, or Property.

• Oversee submission processes, ensuring completeness, account clearance, and setup.

• Evaluate submission information against underwriting appetite and guidelines to support eligibility assessment and opportunity prioritization.

• Gather necessary information from brokers.

• Organize and maintain documentation files.

• Coordinate transactions with additional underwriting support resources.

• Engage with underwriters and wholesale trading partners via phone, virtually, or in person to independently facilitate transactions or with minimal guidance.

• Manage multiple tasks and projects while prioritizing and adhering to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in general/technical E&S underwriting support across diverse business lines and coverages, with a requirement for Property experience.

• Background in supporting Inland Marine, Builder's Risk, or Property lines of business.

• Familiarity with managing submission processes, including thorough reviews for completeness to facilitate account clearance and setup.

• Basic understanding of underwriting data analysis to perform submission triage and assist with eligibility assessment and opportunity prioritization.

• Competence in obtaining necessary information from brokers, organizing and maintaining documentation files, and coordinating transactions with other underwriting support resources.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of company appetites and delegated underwriting authorities.

• Eligible to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
