Underwriting Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver service for moderately complex accounts involving policy and endorsement issuance.

• Manage file documentation and set-up.

• Assess account information for input into the relevant systems to guarantee accurate data reporting.

• Generate, prepare, and/or revise reports as necessary.

• Conduct policy rating and/or initial data entry into the rating model.

• Handle various underwriting transactions and requests.

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, communicating with internal teams and brokers.

• Manage booking and invoicing processes.

• Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

• Proven technical skills and knowledge of insurance (Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Property & Commercial Auto).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.

• Recognized resource for colleagues and other internal stakeholders.

• Self-driven with a sense of accountability and urgency.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Insurance Designation is preferred.

• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance industry.

• Familiarity with Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Property, and/or Commercial Auto.
