This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the underwriting and service operations as the organization expands.
• Lead and provide support to the existing team of client specialists.
• Recruit, conduct interviews, and assist in hiring additional client specialists.
• Educate the current team and future hires on underwriting and service protocols.
• Establish clear expectations and ensure team accountability.
• Manage life insurance applications from submission through carrier underwriting, policy delivery, and funding.
• Address service requests and coordinate medical examinations, labs, APS requests, and other underwriting requirements.
• Follow up with carriers to ensure timely progress on cases.
• Develop and uphold underwriting and client service Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Enhance tracking of cases and service requests, improving communication and resolution processes.
• Maintain precise CRM documentation, pipeline visibility, and leadership reporting.
• Guarantee a calm, proactive, and well-communicated underwriting experience for clients.
• Collaborate with coaches to keep them informed and their clients prepared.
• Act as the escalation point for cases and service issues requiring experienced judgment.
• Report directly to the Director of Operations.
• Previous experience in life insurance underwriting, case management, or a related operations role.
• Experience in training, leading, or mentoring others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and home office setup.
• Comfortable working remotely and independently.
• Available for at least 20 hours per week during core Central Time business hours, with potential to transition to full-time as the team and workload grow.
• Proficient in using Zoom and adapting to a collaborative remote environment.
• Technologically savvy with a quick ability to learn new systems.
• Familiarity with HubSpot, Slack, Outlook, Monday.com, Dropbox, and insurance carrier portals is advantageous.
• An insurance license is not required for this position.
