This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Carry out all advanced pricing and analysis requests.
• Oversee the development and management of designated underwriting and analyst teams.
• Manage special pricing and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Producers, clients, Underwriters, and Account Executives to define and achieve project objectives.
• Distribute workload effectively among teams of Underwriters and Analysts.
• Contribute to setting strategic team goals, resource planning, educational and training requirements, policy development, and business expansion.
• Identify, coordinate, and oversee relationships with insurance carriers, external consultants, third-party administrators, and vendors.
• Utilize actuarial plan values in pricing and analysis projects with appropriate software.
• Adapt and tailor underwriting models and reporting templates to fulfill customer requirements.
• Direct and manage client underwriting projects and deliver analysis to clients.
• Support Producers with prospecting efforts, RFP submissions, finalist presentations, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management, underwriting models, client reports, and analytical outputs.
• Leverage carrier data and reporting systems to acquire claim information for reporting and analysis.
• Evaluate and challenge renewal calculations from insurance companies for fully-insured contracts.
• Engage in ongoing education regarding underwriting knowledge, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure accuracy, promptness, timeline management, and compliance with deadlines.
• Address and respond to correspondence effectively.
• Lead the development and implementation of training on underwriting and analysis topics.
• Uphold data standards and integrity within the agency management system.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience.
• At least one (1) year of management experience leading a team of a minimum of 3 individuals.
• Valid Insurance License.
• Must continue to fulfill Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
• Good customer service skills, including telephone etiquette and active listening.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate within a team and promote teamwork.
• Capability to manage mid-level and large projects while effectively leading assigned teams to achieve objectives.
• Ability to work independently to complete assigned projects effectively.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks for multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
