This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
⢠Assist underwriters in the preparation and processing of underwriting documentation, which includes binders, contracts, policy wordings, endorsements, and other program-related materials.
⢠Ensure accurate maintenance of underwriting activity records in SiriusPoint underwriting systems, focusing on completeness, consistency, and data quality.
⢠Aid in the creation of reports, presentations, and documentation for both internal and external meetings.
⢠Coordinate and manage underwriting projects and initiatives effectively.
⢠Provide administrative assistance, oversee correspondence, and maintain digital underwriting files.
⢠Support quarterly book closing, ensure completion of underwriting-related data, and assist with finance reporting.
⢠Generate, analyze, and interpret underwriting reports while performing controls and validations.
⢠Serve as a primary contact for underwriting data quality, exception reporting, and control processes.
⢠Collaborate with IT to improve underwriting systems and facilitate system upgrades.
⢠Promote process efficiency by streamlining, automating, and embracing best practices and technological solutions.
⢠Prior experience in an underwriting support role or another position within insurance and/or reinsurance is preferred, particularly with exposure to program business.
⢠Clear understanding of insurance and reinsurance underwriting principles, program structures, underwriting processes, and portfolio administration is essential.
⢠Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
⢠Keen attention to detail and accuracy in both documentation and data management.
⢠Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as other relevant software applications.
⢠Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
⢠A strong interest in promoting process efficiency and automation is highly valued.
