This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Amgen's finance leadership during a 10–13 week summer internship program.
• Undertake a significant project that aligns directly with Amgen’s strategic and tactical objectives.
• Enhance technical and financial capabilities while preparing a presentation for the broader finance organization.
• Acquire insights into the assigned functional finance team's role in Amgen’s overall success.
• Engage in a week-long multidisciplinary case study competition.
• Investigate data, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, controls, and decision-making processes.
• Evaluate financial and operational data to uncover trends and generate insights.
• Convey recommendations to business partners effectively.
• Attend meetings, networking sessions, and career development activities with Amgen executives and senior leaders.
• Connect with colleagues across the organization and participate in Employee Resource Groups.
• Anticipated completion of one year of study at an accredited college or university prior to the start of the internship.
• Expected continuation of enrollment at an accredited college or university after the internship program concludes.
• Must be residing in the United States for the entirety of the internship program.
• Availability for a full-time work schedule is required.
• Must be prepared to accept and commit to potential full-time employment by July 2028, if extended an offer.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited college or university.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent is required.
• Field of concentration should be in Economics, Business Administration, Biotechnology Management, Accounting, or Finance.
• Familiarity with fundamental financial analytical principles is essential.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues on intricate assignments.
• Previous work experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or the healthcare sector is preferred.
• A thoughtful cover letter demonstrating interest in the position and relevant experiences is required.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of this program.
• Competitive base pay of $28.87 per hour.
