Turkish OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure that all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show a strong desire to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Security Clearance (assistance will be provided if not currently held).

• Proficiency in the source language (English).

• Native fluency in the target language, 'Turkish'.

• A minimum of 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare industry are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
