This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage personal trusts in compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.
• Engage in income tax planning and preparation while providing explanations of tax matters to beneficiaries, Financial Advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Financial Advisors and clients to establish their goals and objectives.
• Partner with the investment officer to determine asset allocation and review as well as approve changes to portfolios.
• Liaise with beneficiaries, their advisors, and Financial Advisors in the administration of personal trusts.
• May act as a voting member of the Administrative Committee.
• Exercise discretionary authority in personal trust administration as allowed by established policies and procedures.
• Support New Business Development teams and Financial Advisors in the sales process through meetings, calls, and seminars.
• Respond to inquiries from Financial Advisors on topics related to estate planning, trust services, estate taxes, and more.
• Mentor, coach, and guide less experienced staff members.
• Build and sustain relationships across the organization.
• Review assignment progress with executive leadership and management.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with IRA regulations and Inherited IRA administration.
• Knowledge of the Trust Code of Florida or other relevant state laws.
• Understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Insight into income tax planning and preparation processes.
• Comprehension of fiduciary laws and principles necessary for personal trust administration.
• Awareness of basic investment concepts and practices within the securities industry.
• Knowledge of banking, finance, securities operations, financial markets, products, financial advisory roles, and investment processes.
• Proficiency in personal trust administration.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional public presentation abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical principles.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and learn software applications, including trust accounting systems and estate planning software.
• Capacity to function effectively in a professional office setting.
• Skill in executing detailed transactional tasks amidst shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Capability to provide effective service to both internal and external clients.
• Ability to recognize training needs and mentor junior staff members.
• Capacity to collaborate with other functional areas.
