Associate, Commodities Document Negotiator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Negotiate, assess, and draft master agreements in accordance with English and New York law.

• Assist Commodities desks with both physical and financial master agreements as well as supplementary documents.

• Review and negotiate ISDA schedules, ISDA annexes, NAESBs, EEIs, credit support annexes, bespoke physical master agreements, guarantees, and related documents.

• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Legal, Sales, Operations, Tax, and other internal departments.

• Ensure that agreements incorporate suitable terms to safeguard Morgan Stanley in line with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Discuss Morgan Stanley’s stance in master agreements with clients.

• Keep accurate and current records of work in progress.

• Track business and regulatory changes impacting operations.

• Partner with business professionals, external legal counsel, and clients to efficiently and effectively execute master agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree is required.

• A JD is preferred.

• Preferred experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and other trading documentation.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Capability to clearly express ideas and foster robust internal and external relationships.

• Ability to function effectively within a diverse team.

• Capacity to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

• Detail-oriented and accurate, with solid judgment and integrity.

• Knowledge of English and New York law is essential.
