This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and guarantee the precise and complete accounting of various trust account transactions, ensuring adherence to state regulatory standards.
• Detect and investigate discrepancies in trust accounts and promptly resolve outstanding issues.
• Ensure compliance with escheatment regulations and the appropriate management of trust accounts.
• Review and execute daily cash movement requests, which include remittances, wire transfers, checks, and other disbursements.
• Document escrow-related transactions and activities across several platforms.
• Collaborate closely with state brokers, agents, company personnel, and financial institutions.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support the creation of trust reports and perform financial analyses.
• Aid in the development and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with Accounting, Operations, and Legal departments to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory mandates.
• Work with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate recording of trust account activities.
• Participate in weekly state and team meetings.
• Engage in Treasury Operations projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
• Provide backup support to fellow accountants within the department.
• Ensure database integrity and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
• Take on additional responsibilities as designated by management.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Demonstrated expertise in bank reconciliations.
• More than 1 year of experience in the Real Estate sector (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external teams.
• Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage work independently to meet deadlines and commitments.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications (intermediate level).
• Familiarity with SkySlope transaction management software is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
