Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage the reconciliation of high-volume and high-value accounts, which include accrued sales tax, bank clearing accounts, accrued inventory purchases, and prepaids.

• Reconcile daily cash flow reports and monthly bank statements.

• Process and follow up on chargebacks and any outstanding uncashed checks.

• Import credit card transactions and perform reconciliations at the end of the month.

• Create, document, and implement enhanced reconciliation procedures and policies.

• Ensure that reconciliations adhere to internal controls and external audit standards.

• Provide necessary documentation and explanations during audit processes.

• Prepare and record month-end journal entries, which include accruals, prepaids, amortizations, and reclassifications.

• Gather data and documents for sales tax and VAT filings and reconcile the related accounts.

• Work alongside the Operations and Sales teams to offer data support and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting tasks.

• Supervise and calculate royalty reporting for various licensing contracts.

• Reconcile marketing expenses and collaborate with the marketing team to determine cost per acquisition (CPA).

• Ensure that revenue is recorded for Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Central, and various retail accounts.

• Partner with the retail team to guarantee accurate invoicing and manage accounts receivable collections.

• Analyze financial data and compile management reports in collaboration with the finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP.

• CPA designation preferred.

• Public accounting experience is advantageous.

• Proficient in ERP accounting software (experience with NetSuite is a bonus).

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookup, complex formulas, and handling large data sets).

• Strong communication skills.

• Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce sectors.

• Experience in the consumer products industry is highly desirable.
