This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Authorize mechanical repairs on behalf of Wheels’ Clients.
• Ensure that safety-related and scheduled repairs are carried out effectively.
• Approve appropriate repairs based on vehicle mileage, service duration, and previous repair history.
• Negotiate repair costs to align with the published fleet prices or the pre-established Wheels Network rates and times.
• Oversee Client authorizations, limits, and specific instructions.
• Conduct thorough follow-ups on all inoperative vehicles and outstanding transactions.
• Address transaction discrepancies with vendors efficiently.
• ASE certifications: C1, along with 6 out of 14 auto or truck certifications (minimum of 2 must be truck-related).
• Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in automotive and truck fields or equivalent technical training.
• A High School diploma is required; some college education is preferred.
• Technical expertise in automotive and truck repair.
• Familiarity with or practical experience in: Upfitting, Diesel engines, Air Brakes, Trailers, and Refrigeration.
• Capability to manage truck roadside assistance, towing, and rentals.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook).
