This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Act as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific communities.
• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with leading experts and clinicians across the United States.
• Collaborate and network with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large practice groups, medical directors, managed care decision-makers, and pharmacy directors.
• Convey scientific and medical information along with the commercial value of products to both medical communities and internal/external stakeholders.
• Operate independently to gather, integrate, and relay customer feedback.
• Align customer unmet needs with available internal resources.
• Partner with various functional areas to explore opportunities related to scientific, medical, and health economic information.
• Identify and train potential speakers on scientific content for sponsored external speaking engagements.
• Engage in national and regional conferences, meetings, and scientific events.
• Assess external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate both investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials.
• Keep abreast of competitive developments, trends, treatment management, therapies, products, and features.
• Provide competitive intelligence insights to senior leadership.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. is preferred; other doctoral degrees will be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in a medical science liaison role within a biotech or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Proven ability or potential to thrive in smaller entrepreneurial organizations.
• Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with strong networking capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for territory management, conferences/workshops, and company meetings.
• Capacity to work up to 15-hour days when travel demands it.
• Proficient in learning new business applications across hardware tools such as PCs and iPads.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office.
• Maintains a professional and proactive demeanor.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
