Triage RN – Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provide patient care in accordance with all relevant Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Oversee the work of LPNs, CNAs, and Medical Assistants.

• Conduct assigned nurse visits.

• Evaluate patients and document assessments, interventions, responses, effectiveness, and complications.

• Relay patient information to healthcare providers.

• Execute nursing and physician orders while adhering to appropriate techniques and safety measures.

• Manage patient care and collaborate with providers, practice managers, PSCs, department coordinators, and MAs.

• Conduct AED and oxygen checks.

• Handle incoming clinical-needs faxes, such as prior authorizations, durable medical equipment requests, and VNA requests.

• Coordinate care with external agencies and initiate referrals when necessary.

• Offer patient and family education as well as self-care instructions.

• Administer medications and immunizations and perform various nursing procedures.

• Engage in care planning, continuing education, and quality improvement activities.

• Assess age-specific patient needs and recognize instances of abuse or neglect.

• Uphold patient dignity, confidentiality, safety, and advocacy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, or an Associate's Degree in Nursing.

• A valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license is mandatory.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.

• At least one year of experience as an RN is required.

• Experience in a physician's office is preferred.

• New graduates will be considered.

• Ability to read, write legibly, communicate clearly, and comprehend English.

• Capacity to make independent decisions promptly.

• Ability to interact tactfully with staff, patients, families, visitors, government personnel, and the public.

• Willingness to work collaboratively with both professional and non-professional staff and the public.

• Must operate within the parameters of the State Nurse Practice Act.
